Shannon joined the CBS 7 news team in May 2010 as a TV reporter and radio correspondent for News Talk 550.
Originally from Dallas, Shannon attended The University of Texas at Austin with a degree in broadcast journalism. While in school, she served as president of the Alpha Phi sorority and was involved with Texas Student Television as a producer/host of the fashion segment for the student run entertainment show, Austin Underground.
Shannon spent one summer in Los Angeles, where she interned for The Ellen DeGeneres Show and Magical Elves Productions (Project Runway, Top Chef, etc.). Back in Austin, she held an internship with the local NBC affiliate, KXAN.
Shannon is happy to be in the Permian Basin, surrounded by friendly West Texans! In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, watching movies and cheering on her Texas Longhorns!
